Citric acid production using rotating biodisc reactor (RBR)

چکیده

Citric acid is one of the most remarkable industrial goods fabricated by fermentation using filamentous fungus. When Aspergillus niger, a fungus, produced under suitable conditions, high amounts citric are obtained. This study aims to explain synthesis studied in biodisc reactor A. niger. Various physiological parameters have been investigated order determine optimum reactor. Optimum incubation time was found be as 168 hours study. The value temperature determined 30°C. initial pH 3.8. occurred when disc rotation speed 2 rpm. In addition, sugar (sucrose) concentration 20%. semi-continuous production with renewal medium after certain period, it that yield increased approximately 3 times compared batch system. As result, highest 67.65 g/L.
